At Skills4Retail, we are committed to transforming the landscape of the retail industry in Europe through continuous skill development and innovation. Today, we are excited to introduce the Retail Skills Alliance Pledge, a collaborative initiative aimed at harnessing the collective expertise, resources, and networks of organisations to drive the success of the Skills4Retail project and uplift the entire retail workforce.

The Retail Skills Alliance Pledge is driven by two core objectives:

1. Contributing to Success: Our primary goal is to collectively contribute to the success of the Skills4Retail project. By doing so, we aim to enhance the skills and capabilities of the retail workforce across Europe, ultimately fostering a more resilient and dynamic industry.
2. Expanding Impact: We aspire to amplify the impact and reach of the project by pooling our expertise, resources, and networks. Through collaboration, we can extend the benefits of improved skills and capabilities to a broader spectrum of individuals and organisations within the retail sector.

Commitments

In alignment with these objectives, member organisations of the Retail Skills Alliance pledge to undertake the following commitments:

• Active Participation: Each organisation commits to actively engage in project activities, leveraging their expertise and sharing best practices within the retail sector.
• Collaborative Development: Member organisations will collaborate on the development of training programmes, workshops, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing retail skills, employability, and innovation.
• Advocacy and Promotion: Organisations will actively promote and advocate for the Skills4Retail project within their respective networks, encouraging other entities to join the alliance and support its objectives.
• Supporting Entry-Level Recruitment: Member organisations will support the project by identifying and providing placements within their organisations for new entry-level recruits where feasible, thus facilitating hands-on learning experiences.
• Encouraging Professional Development: Organisations will encourage their existing employees to participate in professional development training curated by the Skills4Retail project, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the industry.
