A New Chapter for Skills4Retail: First Czech School Onboard
A New Chapter for Skills4Retail: First Czech School Onboard
In January 2026, JA Czech is launching the Skills4Retail – Accelerating the Triple Transition in European Retail through Skills project at its very first Czech school: the Karlínská Business Academy in Prague.
This moment marks an important milestone for Skills4Retail in the Czech Republic, as students will begin working with the project’s educational materials directly in the classroom and applying them to real-life contexts.
Why Karlínská Business Academy?
Karlínská Business Academy is well known for its strong focus on practical education, innovation, and active participation in national and international projects. The school has long supported the development of entrepreneurial thinking, digital skills, and employability among its students, and it regularly engages in initiatives that connect education with real-world business and societal needs.
Its openness to new learning approaches and international cooperation makes it an ideal partner for piloting Skills4Retail in the Czech environment.
What students will explore
Within the project, we are using the official Skills4Retail educational resources, which address key topics such as:
- The future of retail
- Sustainability
- Digital transformation
- Employability skills
Students will have the opportunity to develop practical competencies, better understand current trends in the retail sector, and strengthen skills that are increasingly important for their future careers.
We are truly excited to see how students and teachers engage with the Skills4Retail content and how the project will enrich classroom learning.
Looking ahead
This first implementation is an important step toward broader adoption in the Czech Republic, and we look forward to sharing our initial experiences, insights, and outcomes as the project continues to grow.
